Hilary Binns ACCA

Hilary joined the firm in 1986, as a Trainee Accounting Technician, after completing her ‘A’ levels. Hilary qualified as an Accounting Technician in 1988 and  began to study for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants examinations, qualifying in 1993.

Having worked in the practice for over 20 years, Hilary has a wide range of experience of all aspects of taxation and accounting for owner-managed businesses and individuals, specialising in personal taxation.

On a personal front, she enjoys being active and keeping fit, as well as listening to music, reading and maintaining a happy family life.

Vicki Downey BSc ACA

Vicki joined Griffith Clarke in 1999 after graduating from the University of Exeter with a degree in Statistics.  Joining as a trainee she went on to qualify as a chartered accountant in 2003.

With nearly 10 years of experience at the practice Vicki has knowledge of all aspects of accounts and taxation but in recent years the focus has been more in personal tax.

Outside of work, and when her two young children allow it, Vicki enjoys playing netball, rounders and skittles for local clubs.

Matthew Rawles BSc Econ ACA

After qualifying with a First Class Honours degree at Cardiff University in Accounting & Economics at Cardiff Business School he later joined Griffith Clarke and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2006.

Matthew is involved with meeting the individual accountancy needs of a range of clients from sole traders and partnerships to small and medium sized companies.  He works on all aspects of accounts, taxation and audit to include accounts preparation, corporation taxes, capital gains tax, VAT, personal tax and statutory audit.  He believes that he can work with clients to be more proactive and assists with their ever growing and changing accountancy needs.

He enjoys playing badminton in his free time and likes to keep abreast of the latest goings on within Formula One Motor Racing.  However, socialising with friends by going bowling, to the cinema and eating out, and meeting up with university mates, take up a considerable amount of his time.
